Strengthen your defence – beat COVID-19, get the vaccine at Millwall FC this Saturday

Lewisham residents aged 18 and over can get their COVID-19 vaccination at Millwall Football Club this Saturday 10 July, 8am–8pm.

Pfizer vaccine will be on offer for everyone and second doses will also be available if it is at least eight weeks since the first dose.

To book a vaccination slot at Millwall, register on Eventbrite. Walk-ins will also be available on the day.

Londoners booking or getting their first jab between Tuesday 6th and Thursday 8th July can enter a ticket draw for an invitation to the Euro final at Wembley and 50 tickets to watch the final in Trafalgar Square. Enter the Euro final prize draw on the Mayor of London's website.

Dr Catherine Mbema, Director of Public Health at Lewisham Council, said:

“Each day as more people are vaccinated, we reduce the risk the virus poses to ourselves, our loved ones and the most vulnerable in our community.

“We know some people may want to access further information on COVID-19 vaccination before coming along on Saturday, so we’re encouraging Lewisham residents to use our free, confidential call back service to talk through any specific vaccine questions with a health professional. As well as booking online, you can also call 07828 499044 (WhatsApp: 07376 810219).”

Travel by train, bus or on foot to Millwall Football Club located on Zampa Road, SE16 3LN. Nearest train stations are South Bermondsey (5 mins), Surrey Quays (20 mins) or Canada Water (20 mins). New Cross and New Cross Gate are around 30-minute walk away. The 21, 53 and 172 buses will get you to Old Kent Road, the P12 to Ilderton Road, the 1 and 1381 to Rotherhithe New Road and the 47, 188 and 225 to Surrey Quays.

Lewisham residents can also head down to Sydenham Wells Park on Saturday 10th July, 9am - 1pm for a walk-in vaccination clinic for everyone aged 18 and over. AstraZeneca and a limited supply of Pfizer will be offered - no need to book, just walk in. Second doses will be offered if it is at least eight weeks since the first dose.

Walk-in vaccination clinics will also run at several pharmacies across the borough and the following venues:

  • University Hospital Lewisham – every Tuesday and Friday, 8am – 4pm
  • Downham Health & Leisure Centre, BR1 5EP – every Saturday, 9am – 6pm
  • Waldron Health Centre – every Saturday, 9am – 1pm and 2pm – 6pm

UCKG HelpCentre, 1 Bromley Road, Catford will host a COVID-19 vaccination Q&A on Saturday 10th July at 12pm followed by a pop-up vaccination clinic on Saturday 17th July from 12pm - 4pm.
