School holiday childcare and activities
From 1 April 2024 support for childcare is changing for working families with a 2-year-old.

Don’t forget to check your local park and library for events that are often free.
Horniman Museum & Gardens
Inside the Museum, the Natural History Gallery and Nature base, World Gallery and Music Gallery are open, along with the free displays including Falling Birds and An Ode to Afrosurrealism.
You can also book tickets to see the exhibition Monkey Business and the Aquarium.
The Gardens are open, and you can book tickets to visit the Butterfly House.
The Animal Walk is open daily from 12.30pm to 4pm, and you do not need a ticket to enter. Please follow social distancing advice.
Don’t forget to book if you fancy a spot of crazy golf!

Beckenham Place Park

The lake is open for wild swimming, paddleboarding and kayaking but you must book in advance.
